Phong Nha-Ke Bang NP Vietnam, Central Coast

Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park became a registered UNESCO world heritage site in 2003 for its extensive biological and geological diversity. This world-famous site has become even more of a phenomenon in recent years with the exploration of the world’s largest cave - Son Doong – which is guessed to be about 3 million years old. And even more to add to its growing criteria as being a prime adventurer spot are the oldest Karst mountains in Asia that call Phong Nha-Ke Bang home and are responsible for the formation of hundreds of kilometers of breathtaking cave systems.

With all the world recognition that Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has it’s even more of a wonder that it is still largely overlooked by tourists. This means that this spectacular site is still in the early stages of development and that it is well preserved. Phong Nha-Ke Bang is an adventurer’s dream; with kayaking, hiking, cave exploration, ziplining, and cycling available to you as activities and the largely undeveloped tourism sector, Phong Nha-Ke Bang feels remote and largely removed from the world.

To add on to the already impressive list of uncommon features of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, many globally threatened species call this National Park home such as the large-antlered muntjacs and Asian black bears.
