Visit the bustling, rural, and colorful Pa Co Market

Located about 30 km Northwest of Mai Chau Valley is the lively Pa Co Market. Filled with people from the surrounding villages selling, buying, and bartering, this busy market comes to life every Sunday for Pa Co Market fair. You can find local villagers selling anything from hand-woven textiles to fruits and vegetables. A lot of the people are in their traditional clothing which brings more stir and color to this already vibrant market.

Do some fun water activities on Hoa Binh Lake

For those who love fresh water and a thriving forest, Hoa Binh Lake is a welcoming oasis for the EcoTraveler. Hoa Binh Lake is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Vietnam and is the perfect location for Stand-Up Paddleboarding, Kayaking, and Canoeing. If you prefer a more motorized experience, there are boating day trips that take you to see the sights such as the Thac Bo cave and the Thac Bo Temple.

Explore the lovely limestone landscape of Pu Luong Nature Reserve

A lush jungle, flowing waterfall, and limestone mountain range can be seen within the expansive Pu Luong Nature Reserve, about 150 km from Hanoi.
