Often said to be the 'Ha Long Bay on land', Ninh Binh shares the same gorgeous characteristics that make Ha Long Bay so popular - limestone mountains covered in lush green growth and surrounded by a sea of emerald green. Ninh Binh’s 'sea of emerald green' is the miles of beautiful rice fields that stretch across the horizon and offer some picture-perfect views. You can rent a bike or motorcycle and whizz by these fields, or you can take a long, picturesque hike along the rice paddies.

Ninh Binh refers to both the province as well as the city that shares the name in the center of that province, and although the city does offer some interesting sights and things to do, the shining gem of Ninh Binh is the outdoor activities available in and around the province.
