Sepiloks Orangutans Malaysia, East Malaysia (Sabah)
Learn about Orangutan rehabilitation at Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre
Deforestation and logging practices have been absolutely devasting to the Orangutan population. Many of the adult Orangutans are killed during these harmful activities and babies are taken captive. The Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Malaysia grants these intelligent animals a second chance; they’ll take any Orangutan in and help them get back to the lives they once had. The Centre rehabilitates the primate population and allows visitors to come take a look. Fortunately, there are very strict rules regarding where visitors can go, as they don’t want people to interfere with the rehabilitation of these animals.
