To enjoy the best views of Malacca, take a trip up the Taming Sari Revolving Tower. It’s a rotating ring that goes up 110 meters into the air and gives panoramic city views, with the river as a backdrop. The Revolving Tower stops for 5 minutes at the top to allow all 66 passengers the opportunity for top-notch pictures. Take notice of some of the Dutch Colonial Architecture around the city; it may seem a bit out of place but it also helps set the city apart and showcases the blending of people and cultures that happened in Malacca over time.

If you’re a history buff, you’ll find some really great pieces of history in Malacca that you can still visit today. Dating back to the 17th century, the Cheng Hoon Teng Chinese Temple is the oldest of its kind in all of Malaysia. It is a place of religious significance for the Buddhist Chinese community in Malacca and has been for a very long time. We also highly recommend checking out the Sultanate Palace, which was modeled after an old ruler of Malacca’s palace. Today, it’s a cultural center that will help give some background on the city. An even more impressive part of the palace is that it was built without using any nails!
