Cao Bang Province Vietnam, Northern Vietnam

Located high up in Northern Vietnam and with one of the lowest population numbers is the province of Cao Bang. This beautiful geologically inspiring sight is about 280 km from the bustling city of Hanoi and can be accessed via an 8-hour bus ride or private tour. A welcome break from the hustling central hubs to the south, Cao Bang province offers any adventurous traveler a chance of escape and exploration seldom found elsewhere. Filled with limestone mountain ranges, dense forests, and lakes, Cao Bang is the natural gem of the North. With only small ethnic villages dotting in between valleys and expansive cave formations, it is easy to get lost in the wonder of traveling remotely.

One of the most beautiful sights to see in Cao Bang province is the famous, large, and ethereal Ban Gioc waterfall. Falling from a height of over 70 m and stretching over a length of 200 m, this set of three waterfalls are the largest in Vietnam and are a must-see for any traveler, whether you enjoy nature or not.
