Alejandro de Humbolt National Park is a preserved Nature Reserve located north of Baracoa. This ecosystem is one of the most important preserved forested mountain reserves among the Caribbean and has been protected for its geological diversity by UNESCO since 2001. You can hike among the paths winding along the park's landscape and pass by statuesque waterfalls, colorful snails, and take a much-needed dip in the natural pools and springs after the hike. It is perfect for experiencing some of the stunning nature that surrounds the port-side city of Baracoa.
