Sidi Ifni Morocco, South Atlantic Coast

You can find the seaside city of Sidi Ifni on the western shores of Morocco, roughly three hours south of Agadir. In the city, you will find women in brightly colored, traditional dresses, few hotels, and a cultural mosaic of both Spanish and Moroccan influences. Set along the Atlantic coast, there are a handful of stunning beaches to explore near the city that draws many surfers and kite surfers to the area.

Sidi Ifni began as a Spanish port city and that’s why when you visit Sidi Ifni, you’ll likely hear the swing of Spanish music fill the colorful, Spanish-influenced facades of the city and hear Spanish greetings.

Due to the laid-back atmosphere filled with siestas and slow-paced life you won’t find a massive tourist culture. Instead, you will find languid beaches, small Spanish churches, and a handful of surfers looking for the Atlantic swell found among the Sidi Ifni coastline. One of the best ways to experience Sidi Ifni is to have no plan at all. Instead, spend your days perusing the shops and cafes in the city before heading to nearby beaches to swim, kitesurf, and sunbathe before heading back into the city for a late dinner.

One particular place of interest in this seaside city that you’ll want to make sure you see is the various, absolutely breathtaking rock formations that line the beaches. Large, carved archways display some of mother nature's best work and can be found at the nearby Legzira beach.
